What is Pooch Playoffs?
Pooch playoffs is a wicked fun bracket-style portrait competition.There is a $150 entry fee that will be donated to Quincy Animal Shelter. All 16 entries have a fun (understatement) portrait session! Each contestant gets a free prize featuring their cuteness, a fun filled swag bag of items donated by local businesses, and chance to win prizes! There are prizes for our first, second and third place winners. Sessions take place in Quincy during the months of February and March. In March all pets are put in a March Madness bracket style of voting online! Voting is free and open to the public.
How do I vote?
Follow me on Instagram and/or Facebook for the latest news and information about the contestants! Follow along on social media and see all the fun promos and peaks at our contestants and know when It's time to vote. Voting is free and open to all with an email address. (Please note; creating a fake email address and voting is cheating and your contestant can be disqualified). When it's time to vote, a link and instructions will be posted at the bottom of this page.
Each round is 2 days. You may vote once each day, all you need is a valid email address. The rounds will run back to back.
You must vote in EVERY pair up. If your vote is not going through make sure you've voted for every pair. NOTE that we have 14 contestants, but there are 16 spots. The contestants who are getting a bye for this round (only) have both competed in Pooch Playoffs before.

How do I sign up my pet?
We are all set for contestants for 2026. Keep your eye out in January of 2027 for sign ups!
Can I be in the photos with my pet?
YES! The photos used in the competition will be of your pet only. However it is highly encouraged (but not at all required) to get in some of the photos with your pet. Bring your whole family.

This years Pooch Playoffs is dedicated in Memory of Joanne McCarthy.
Joanne was a beloved and devoted 20 year volunteer and board member at the Quincy Animal Shelter. Her kindness helped countless animals find comfort and love, and it was there that Joanne met her cherished dog, Thor who became her faithful companion and brought her immense happiness. One of the many kind acts from Joanne and Thor; they participated in the first Pooch Playoffs.
Joanne requested that donations made in her memory be directed to Quincy Animal Shelter, where she dedicated more than 20 years to serving on the board, caring for animals, and supporting events.

You can vote once each day. Each round is two days, so you can vote twice in each round (once each day). Voting is free and open to the public. All you need to vote is a valid email address (making up email addresses to vote is considered cheating, and your contestant can be disqualified). You have to vote for each team of two in order for your vote to count. So if it seems you cannot vote, make sure you have voted in all of the matchups. Those who will move on will be announced on my socials the morning after the second day. The voting runs consecutive days. Have FUN!!
